How can I use "top" to show all of the processes

747M memory is used but I have closed all the window in RH9. I use top to see what process occur my memory, but the list is too small, only about 10 tasks, and the total processes is 70, how can I list them all and then I want to kill one or two of them which eat my memory too much!

I believe the equals character ("=") does this, but I'm a little unsure. Try man top.

In top, you can hit "h" to get a help list of options you can use. Specific'ly, you can use 'M' or 'P' to sort by memory of cpu usage.

thanks, ranger_nemo. I have tried M and P, but I actually need top to list all the processes, not just sort.

Yeah, ps is your answer. top is SUPPOSED to show only a certain number of processes; that's where the 'top' comes from (it shows your "top" processes, see?).
