How can I mount something back after unmounting it?

Hi,

Inside the /data/confluence-data/shared-home/ directory, I created name efs. Then mounted it, then decided that I don't need it there. So tried unmounting it:

umount /data/confluence-data/shared-home/efs

This unmounted the entire /data/confluence-data/shared-home/

How can I mount it back in?

Thanks

you could try

Code:
mount -a
that will try to mount everything in /etc/fstab

which is overkill

I don't understand what went wrong with your umount, it should not have umounted the parent dir and you couldn't have umounted the parent if a child dir was a mount point.

show us the contents of /etc/fstab

also the output of

Code:
cat /etc/fstab
history

Thank you, I ran the mount -a and my boss who was just walking by said everything is good. Checked the fstab and saw the /data directory was mounted. Thank you so much for your help.
