How can i execute shell script from firefox?

Hello all,

How can i execute shell script from web browser?

For example:

<a href="">test2</a>

<a href="gnome-terminal --execute  sh">test2</a>

Any help would be much appreciated.

Perhaps you could set Firefox's default application for handling .sh files to /bin/bash. Then you could run it by pointing Firefox to the URL file:///path/to/your/

But why do you want to do this in the first place? There might be a better solution to your problem.

you could at least indirectly have firefox or for that
matter other web browsers execute shell scripts.

I set google as the default email client in opera and firefox
by selecting the mailto protocol in the preferences and
selecting as the default program a shell script that I wrote.
