How can I create an empty image bigger than 4 GB?

AS from the title: I need an empty 6GB image, but with
Code:

dd of=/usr/disk-img/homeImage bs=1024 count=0 seek=4194304
I arrive only to $ GB and I can't go further!

Is it possible in some way???

Uhh, maybe
Code:

dd of=/usr/disk-img/homeImage bs=1024 count=0 seek=6291456

The instruction seem to suggest

bs=1024 ---> the record size is 1024 in each transfer

count=0 ---> copy 0 record only

seek=4194304 ---> skip 4194304 records in the output device when start

Maybe the 0 count is the problem.

Try:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/usr/disk-img/homeImage bs=1024 count=1 seek=$((6*1024*1024-1024))

This positions the start of the write 1024 bytes before the end.
