There's a "Burn ISO" option somewhere in Nero, in the File menu IIRC, just locate the file you downloaded and it will burn it, no other options are required.

This should not have been posted in the Linux forum as it relates to a Windows application (there is a General forum for non-Linux questions such as this), so please bear this in mind in the future.

Ok thanks i will try that but i have posted this ignoring that Nero 6 exists only for windows but if i can do it in linux using another burn application running under linux you can suggest me how can i proceed.

Thanks

If you use KDE, there is an application called K3B which burns CDs.

You can also do it from the terminal using cdrecord.

In Gnome, you right-click on an .iso image and select "Burn to CD". I've rarely seen anything so easy on ANY OS.

It's also very easy to do using growisofs:

Code:

growisofs /dev/cdrom=FC5.iso
Of course, change this as necessary if your CD-ROM or ISO filename are different. Personally, I think this is easier than doing it through a GUI - it takes 5 seconds to type the command in and then you can just leave it.

Click recorder and then seletct burn image.... That should do it...

Nero also exists for linus and it is very good.

Like I said, click recorder and then select burn image and then select the iso. Thats it it will burn a bootable image for you.

Have fune :)

How do I burn fedora core 5 to dvd?

I've messing around and Ive had no luck....PLEASE HELP!

Nylex 04-15-2007 06:42 PM

Could you please give more info, e.g. what software are you trying to use? What goes wrong? Also, Fedora Core 6 is the latest stable release, so you may want to go with that instead (and for info, 7 is scheduled to be out in May).

I have never been a fan of Nero and Windoze.

I always used DeepBurn.. You could burn an image in about 3 clicks. Thankfully, I don't use Windows anymore, so I use GnomeBaker.. ;)
