How can I add an option for new window managers to the login screen?

You know where u can choose KDE, GNOME, etc - i'd like to try out a few new WMs and get the option to start each one from the login screen.

I can set up so any one is default, but i'd quite like the option...

Yes their called kdm for KDE and gdm for Gnome.

Which one you use isn't important, though each are configurable from within the GUI's.

I'm looking for stuff on xdm now, but theirs a lot of stuff

Hey I sorted this out - I am actually using gdm which is the default with RH 8.

All you do is add a script like

#!/bin/bash
exec name_of_window_manager

And put it in /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions

Then the option appears on the login screen.
