how can a normal user write into /mnt/win


My vfat partitions is /mnt/win, how can a normal user write into it?

try the following in your fstab:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/win vfat user,exec,umask=0,codepage=850,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
