Horrible headaches with Linux

Man, I am getting horrible eye and headaches looking at a Linux screen. Bright colours like yellow and white etc look really BRIGHT, is there anything I can do? My refresh rate is @ 85hz, gfx card is a Radeon 9200se and am using a Dell E771a monitor.

wow, not the type of question I would expect with that title, most people are complaining about how bad linux is with that title..

I have had that problem before, and now I know how to fix it. Thanks! BTW, is that with framebuffer?

Which are you using the shell or a Window Manager? If you are using a window manger you could go to your system settings and change the theme that you are using.
