Highlighting text in Xterm...difference between RedHat and Suse

This is a real silly question, but one that is driving me crazy.

I just made the switch from RedHat (was a longtime user, starting back to v6.1) to SuSE. I don't want to start a debate on the numerous issues I had with FC1 that forced me to switch.

Anyway, there are some differences in default settings between RedHat and SuSE. My question is this:

In XTerm, when I double click on a word or string of characters, what gets highlighted is different in RedHat and in SuSE. For example, take the following string:

allYourBaseAreBelongToUs.forGreatJustice.out

Now, in RedHat, if I were to double click on the first part of the string, all characters from "all" to the first period would be higlighted.

allYourBaseAreBelongToUs.forGreatJustice.out

This is the behavior I am used to and prefer. Basically, highlight all characters until you hit a non-[A-Z or a-z or '_'] character.

In SuSE 9.0 (running Enlightenment), if I were to double click on any part of the string, the entire string is highlighted.

allYourBaseAreBelongToUs.forGreatJustice.out

I don't like this behavior and want to change X11 or Enlightenment or whatever to get it to work the way it does in RedHat.

Can anyone help me? Just point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

- Guy (somebody set up us, the bomb).

Nope. No one has either had the same issue as I have had or nobody cares or nobody knows.
