hiding menubar


Hi !
can somebody tell me how can i hide the menu bar on red hat 9 programmatically.
I m writing a program that should hide the menu bar on startup
is there anyway i can do it ?

ok if you want the program to do it
i dunno
but if you want to confiure yours to hide that in a configure panel thing
