Hidden folders ... how can I view them?

How can I be able to view folders/files that are hidden by a period? Example: .wine ... it's there, if I type in /home/orange400/.wine/ it brings up the folder, but it doesn't display it. Can I display it? How 'bout in the bash shell?

What do you mean display it? In bash just use ls -a to see the hidden files and directories.

Look through the options in Nautilus. It should have one that says "show hidden files" or something like that.
