Hidden Files

Hi, when someone was doing work on our server, they got pissed off at us and messed with our server. I did a search on the files and they are coming up in the place they should be. Unfortantly when we go to that place it says there is nothing there. I think it is just hidden, does anyone know how to un hide them or undleete them? Thanks in advance.

How did you search for them? The "locate" command uses a local database which needs to be updated with "updatedb" or you'll see files already deleted.
You can hide files with a "." at the beginning, and see them with "ls -a". Remove the dot to unhide them.
