Hibernation WORKS with NVIDIA but not the terminals

Got hibernation workin flawlesly on my notebook with NVIDIA 7676 drivers.
Im using UBUNTU 5.10, kernel 2.6.12 with patched Software Suspend2.
As usuall theres a but

When I resume from hibernation the X starts fine and all is great. But the TERMINALs (1-6) are all garbeld up. Showing an interleaced screen of my desktop in X
Help would be greatly appreciated.

ps. If am using the native NV driver then the terminals will work after resuming from hibernation

sooo do they clear up when you type clear?

it sounds like a driver issue.. did you compile them.. r they up2date?

It's definatly a driver issue, but NVIDIA is reluctant to fix them. Since they still use the PM and not ACPI in there linux drivers.
Found a temporary fix:
I blindly type

Code:
vbetool vbemode set 3
in the terminal in question and it restores it. But it is again garbled when I switch back to X and then back to the terminal.
Is there a way that the upper temporary fix could be set to be done automaticly whilst resume

maybe it is something beyond finding easily enuff to fix..

maybe a 'fresh' install-- or revert to a backup.. is the only rational option.. until you can find more clues.

of course trying to compile or use a ndiswrapper for a doze driver is something that you still have not tried...

but you still need to get your system stable before you can continue, or it may degrade even further..

let us know.
