Help with X and ati 9200 drivers...
Hi, i'm a newbie here, and i need some help with getting to X. i am using redhat9, on an AMD Athlon XP 2600 with 512MB ram. my problem is that i cannot get the correct drivers for my video card to work, i have an ATI 9200. i had it working with the generic VESA drivers, but i could not view anything that had 3D or GL. so i downloaded the RPM package from ATI, and ran it... it asked me to set a few parameters, then did the reboot. now when i load linux, my monitor goes into standby mode when the login screen comes up, like nothing is being sent to my monitor.
anyways, is there a way that i can set my display driver back to the old VESA driver so at least i can have a GUI??? or is there a way to get the ATI driver to work so i can use the full potential of my linux system???
Thanks for your much appreciated help
Adam
