Help with installing


Is it possible to be in windows on one hard drive and instal llinux on another hard drive while in windows, i ran out of cd's to burn linux on to and cant get anymroe right now. or there a way i can boot from a floppy to do a network install?

i think the first question is possible, iv never had to try though so i dont know. vmware?
sure, you can do a network install; what distro are you going for?

If this is your first question, I think that you cannot do this. To install Linux, you have to boot up from (something) and actually run the Linux OS to--eg--set up your file systems.

Well im wanting suse on there, i have the entire distro on my windows drive, how can i do a network install from a floppy or can i make it load the files from my windows OS

for your first point, check out vmware, maybe that can do what you want.
for network install check out suse's site and documentation.
