Help With Ftp Error

I have enabled FTP on my RedHat Linux Release 9 Server. When I try to connect from my windows XP computer using the FTP command I get the following error message "in.ftpd: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

Can someone please help me with this error message or an alternative solution.

Looks like your missing some libraries in order for it to work. What ftp daemon are you using and is it even running? If you see an error like that in your logs after starting, most likely you won't be able to connect until it's actually running.
