Actually, reiser fs and Ext2/3 are different file systems. With Ext2/3 you have to use tune2fs -L (device) to reset the label. With Reiser FS you have to use reiserfstune -l to reset the label. But since I ran repair from the DVD before resetting the label...It reset all the links to no label and messed up the repair. Even after resetting the label, and running Repair......It did not repair the link or fstab and would not boot all the way into X windows for this reason. If I had reset the label first I would not have to run repair. However, if you do not reset the label with the exact name as before, then you need to run repair to rest the links. Yes, I had to Fdisk, format, and reinstall and only used the Ext2 file system. The good news is that I didn't have to pick the software to install. Because Repair would not reset the links a second time, but i'm not sure why. Maybe because the original links still existed with the same drive label, but were disabled? Anyone have any ideas on this, lemme know! Oh, in Repair. Suse 10.0 does not let you reset the label, or mount point which was also missing! Does this make sense? The old repair is a commandline.
Thanks all!!!!!!!
