HELP: Screwed up login screen!

I ~just~ finished fixing my monitor resolution problem, got to tinkering again, and broke it again! :( I tried installing and using a new login screen theme. When I logged out to look at it, I get the test prompt, then a blue screen and a watch, then the text prompt again, then it just gets stuck on the blue screen with the watch. How do I fix this? I already know how to boot into text mode. How do I change the login screen from text mode? Or is there a way to log in with text mode, then switch to graphical mode? Thanks!

If you can boot to the command line you can usually switch to your GUI by starting the X server with the command "startx".
