help me with my verizon DSL?

I want to have my verizon DSL runing on linux MANDRAKE 8.1.
please tell me how can I set it up.

Hmm,

I have set a number of DSL through linux but maybe it would help if you specified more on what verizon uses.

Are they using for the IP addressing?

DHCP (Like Directtv DLS)
PPPOE (Like PacBell and many others)
Static IP

With that it may be easier for somebody to help you?

I probably know, Verizon uses PPPoE protocol to connect users to their servers, so in order to setup your DSL connection you should use roaring penguin software available from here
just read the instructions on their website, and you'd be able to setup the connection; and probably connect to the internet using your windows box, so download the file and save it on a floppy (it is small)

or, if you have a hardware router you should be fine. just hook it up and use your browser to surf to the hardware routers address, and configure from there.
