Help! Help! All my files are gone
I have no idea why, but all of my files have disappeared! The drive used space stats are fine, but I cannot see any files.
Does anyone know how to get them back! I am using ReiserFS

Oh man, that sucks. I hope you made a backup. Not sure of anyway to get your files back. Have you checked your log files to see if you can't find anything there that might be related ? Is it just your files in a particular directory or home directory ??

Update:
I just turned on Nautilus, and I can see my files again. However, they till be there, but I cannot get into them. Folders, files, nothing. I cant even see their properties.
I am curious as to whether these files are still there or not. Could it be a bad file table? I mean, what could cause this?

Sorry if this sounds stupid...
Have you tried using xterm or mc to view the files and see if you can see them that way?
Cool

Well I finally got my files back. I ran reiserfsck and rebuilt my tree on the partition. It took almost 3 hours, but they came back.
Now I am wondering how that could happen.
