Help Half-life Server


Im having trouble with the commands to get the hlserver and cs on the computer. Sometimes it says file not found and then other times it says permission denied

Please help me

Could you give clear examples of what you try to do?

ok....i made a folder i dunno why but i did. I put all the files in it

Then i set the path cd /home/hlserver/halflife

Then I type su to get root

Then it told me it File Not Found when I

./hlds_l_3110_full.bin

Probably as root do "chmod u+x ./hlds*" thing, then execute "./hlds*" thing :-]
Dunno if you've read the http://www.night-shade.demon.co.uk/howto.html and http://www.cheaplinux.net/cs_howto/cs_howto.html at least I haven't, being more of an mindless UT drone myself...

I got it working sorta but when i try to run a server it gives me an error message saying.....

Cannot Assign Ip Address Fatal Error
