What does your fstab currently look like?

You should have /dev/hda1 mounted as the root, and /dev/hdb1 mounted somewhere for data (that would be implementation-dependent).

Yes i have now created a mount point for the 2nd drive which is for data

but i don't know what i should do next

sorry fstab file now looks like:

/dev/hda1 /boot ext2 noauto,noatime 1 1
dev/hdb1 /u03 ext2 noauto,noatime 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

First off, dev/hdb1 should start with a /, as in /dev/hdb1.

Secondly, hda1 is not /boot, it's /.
