What kind of book about what in particular? I know a bit about technical writing and a lot about editing.

I write a book about linux that unique form other books, As you know many book about Linux is exist and i want prepare unique chapters.

i don't understand the sense of this
there are already books about general linux and write a book where you talk about ALL the linux word (history, linux command, desktop, server, shell scripting, etc..) it's a titanic thing..

Are computer students really reading books these days? Or are they doing all the learning on computer/internet itself? What is the role of books when information changes everyday?

Sorry so direct but I'd like to participate. IMO it is a good practice to be able to anticipate before a "Finished Product" of hard work and dedication are practiced.

If so it's probably the students that are getting ready to complete their Red Hat Certification that either they are paying for or their employers are paying for-

I personally know a Professor that teaches (Law) at one of my local Universities and he said;
"All of my students use the internet for their HW and term papers"
He further explained to me that he is tired of telling them to read the chapter from which his lecture came from-

When information changes everyday it gets intresting (not sure how that's kept up on) but IMO w/o the books we wouldn't be able to establish the basic foundations of any practices. Hands on experience is good but w/o the book knowledge "how to" or just the knowledge needed to be known wouldn't be there. Unless, of course we are attending regular lecture or classes; that is-
