Hello and a Firefox question from the get-go

Hello community,

I am a part time unix user and thanks to my wife also had to delve into Linux in order for her to set up Oracle clusters on a Virtual Machine. This worked fairly well when running Centos 4.6 and Oracle RAC 10g. As she wants to test Oracle Rac 11g now I downloaded the recommended Oracle Enterprise Linux Release 5 Update 5. The install went fine except that I cannot get Firefox to come up. I can ping and so I know I have connectivity. Firewall is disabled. I don't know where else to look for. What am I missing?

Thank you very much!

More info ...

I just tried to run Firefox from the command line and get a "Could not load XPCOM" message. It looks like there is already a thread about it in another forum so I will switch over there.

firefox, linux, oracle11g
