header files


Hi,

I've installed Debian - just the base install. i installed gcc as well. libc and libglibc are installed too. my /usr/include does not contain any header files. how do i get them ...

distro's do things in different ways. some rpm distro's like to split the glibc headers off into a glibc-.x.x.x-devel package. also, look for a kernel-headers package for your distro. ( the kernel-headers package is generally the headers that glibc is compiled against, not the headers of the kernel you are currently running ( although they may be the same)).
