Hard Disk hangs if system left on for 2-3 hours
Hi everyone
I got this vexing problem with my RH8.0 ker2.4.18-14. I have a dual boot P3933Mhz,Intel815,512MB SDRAM with WinME in 20 GB of my SeaGate Barracuda30GB and RedHat Linux8.0 Server Install in the rest 10GB which I boot off a diskette or CDROM. Since some time I am starting to have this problem that my Linux hangs telling me :
dev hda busy
could not read inode block
ext3 fs error I/O error
.....
........
.....
and the system proceeds to crash so much so that even on resetting it the hard drive is unable to boot either Win or Lin.
Then I have to power off my drive and on it again to boot anything. This problem first occured when I used to leave my system on overnight. Can anyone help a worried man
