GUI not coming in REDHAT 9.0
 

Hi,

REDHAT LINUX 9.0 system having the problem with GUI. previously it was working .Suddenly we got this problem . When we switch on the system now , system goes to terminal screen.

pls give me some suggestion to get GUI screen back.

I would make sure that in your inittab (/etc/inittab) that you have your current runlevel set to 5 for X. Should look like this.

id:5:initdefault:

Does the command starx start the gui from the command line?
