gtk-config file for 'configure' missing under Suse 7.1

Hey. I'm trying to install some programs from the GNOME site, but "./configure" gives an error saying the file "gtk-config" is not found. This is under Suse 7.1. I'm pretty sure I've installed all the relevant 'development' packages in the distribution, and GNOME (version 1.4) runs perfectly. A search does indeed not find any "gtk-config" on the system, so its not just a case of the wrong path. I'm wondering whether SUSE uses a different system, but probably I don't have the right packages installed :( Any ideas?

gtk is used by gnome, if you've not got gnome installed, you probably haven't got gtk on your system. you can install gtk without gnome easily enough tho

it should be in the gtk+-devel package. go search if you've not got it

I do actually have GNOME 1.4 installed, and it works fine :) And I've installed all the development gtk+ packages, but still no 'gtk-config'. Maybe this is something peculiar to Suse. Cheers.
