gtk-config and glib-config scripts not found?

After all I still gaot the same message!
I was told the Linux is the future desktop OS!
After this I do not beleive it!

You need to find a file but don't know which package it is in.

Install this to search for any file.

Code:

aptitude install apt-file

For example, this command will find the package that contains "gtk-config".

Code:

apt-file search bin/gtk-config

On Debian this is the package you receive from completing the search.

"libgtk1.2-dev"
