Grub Questions?

I have a problem with GRUB...
I have 2 hard drives 1 with Redhat 7.3 and the other with Windows XP...
Lately I have received the following message : Grub read error
I was told that it could be related to the fact that my sister is programing in C++ ... could this be true?!
Besides the Grub error I had difficulty starting Windows yesterday...
When I let the computer "rest" a little it goes back to normal

What can I do? I was a Bill Gates fan until I was introduced to LInux... so I´m a newbie to this...

Could anyone give me an opinion?
I´m not sure if I have to reinstall everything again...
after reinstallation will everything go wrong again?
