grub question

Hey guy!! let me first say you guy's are great. Now, i have a question involving grub. Is there anyway to change the default of grub.. i have xp and rh9 on the hd, but i'd like to make xp the default after the seconds tick away... secondly, is there anyway to change the subtitle of an os in grub? At the moment it has dos and redhat.. id like to change it to xp. Thanks for everything guys..!!!

Edit your /boot/grub/grub.conf file.My default is Gentoo.
