grub configuration


hey why i have all this boot selections on GRUB manager?
sometimes when i do updates somethink new appears on GRUB:P
what is fc8xen ?
is better to delete something?

Because a kernel update may cause your system to become unbootable, GRUB always keeps a reference to the older kernel that was replaced by the update. So if you can't boot using the newer one, you can always go back to the older one. As for the xen entries, those are for the xen-enabled kernel. The Xen kernel is used for virtualization.
You should not delete anything unless you know what you are doing. The extra entries are just a few lines that don't do anything so it's not as if they make your computer perform worse or anything. Just a few extra options.
