grub cant mount usb hdd
hello, i've been trying to run multiple OS's in my system two being on the local hdd (sda) and one being on the usb hdd (sdb. And I succeed thanks to the forum. But there were some other problems so i decided to remove linux on my local hard drive. So now i want to boot windows xp from local hdd and fedora 7 from usb hdd. I've done that several times before. And just like them, i first installed fedora on my usb hdd. Then i made up a new initrd for usb (usbinitrd) and changed my grub.conf file to use the new initrd. I reboot my PC and edit the bios settings. Grub loads. But only with a command line.
Here starts the problem. On the command line, i type "boot" and it says "kernel must be loaded before booting" and when i try to load the kernel manually by typing "kernel (hd1,0)/..." it says "cannot mount device (hd1,0)" or something similar to that. grub.conf looks fine. Do you have any idea? Thanks.
