gramofile - anyone use it?

Sometime soon I want to record alot of my vinyl record collection to wav files and then burn them to CDs.
After browsing around, it seems I should use gramofile. This program is included on my mandrake CDs.
I installed it, under my user name, but it ended up in /usr/bin and when I click on it nothing happens.

Just wondering if anyone uses it or has used it...

thanks

gramofile is an ncurses based console application, so there's no big pretty gui for it. just run it from a console and it should appear fine. i just had a play with it actually, and generally, i'd say that using the "ercord" program from teh xawtv package is probably easier. gramofiles track detection was far too vague, while using record you can easily just press a key to start a new track automatically, which is more reliable i think.

incidentally, if you installed it with rpmdrake, the installs always have root privelidges, which is pretty dumb really.
