GPM and X11 on Slack 9

I have one of those cheap PS2 mice, so if I'm at a console without X11 started yet, I gotta run GPM using ps2 as mouse type, but once I got X11 running GPM turns crazy and selects and pastes anything with just moving the mouse. So i gotta change the mouse type to imps2 to correct this, but when i close X11 GPM crashs and stops funcioning, then if i wanna use mouse at a console i got to: run GPM using ps2, kill it and run it again but using imps2.

What is happening???
