Use this repo file, place a copy in your /etc/yum.repos.d directory;

I do not think iptables should be a problem, what does you /etc/sysconfig/iptables look like?? Mine for comparison;

Code:
# Firewall configuration written by system-config-securitylevel
# Manual customization of this file is not recommended.
*filter
:INPUT ACCEPT [0:0]
:FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0]
:OUTPUT ACCEPT [0:0]
:RH-Firewall-1-INPUT - [0:0]
-A INPUT -j RH-Firewall-1-INPUT
-A FORWARD -j RH-Firewall-1-INPUT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p icmp --icmp-type any -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p 50 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p 51 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp --dport 5353 -d 224.0.0.251 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 631 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 631 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 22 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -j REJECT --reject-with icmp-host-prohibited
COMMIT

Code:
# Generated by iptables-save v1.2.11 on Tue Oct 31 19:33:39 2006
*filter
:INPUT ACCEPT [24166:1655793]
:FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0]
:OUTPUT ACCEPT [17335:2602795]
-A INPUT -s 212.175.16.24 -j DROP
COMMIT
# Completed on Tue Oct 31 19:33:39 2006
This is my iptables file. There is nothing that might effect to yum. But when I disable iptables, yum works nice. Also i cant download files with wget, when iptables is enabled.

Yes there is something missing in your iptables which does affect yum and wget, try replacing your iptables with the one I provided. Make sure you first save a copy of yours.
