Good partition scheme and distro suggestions

Hi

I have 2 hdds in one pc
I need to use the 2nd hdd(/dev/hdb) effectively.
What would be a good partition scheme and what distros should I install assuming the following

1./dev/hda boots WinXP/slackware10.2 and FC3
2./dev/hdb is to be used for only Linux/BSD no Windows
3.I want to build LFS and also use One BSD based distro. So some space would be reserved for this

My aim is to just learning and trying out many distros. My main distro till now is Slac10.2 and sometimes I use FC3

Any suggestions are welcome

Thanks
Ninad

What is the size of the drives?
How much room do you need for data?

I like to have a separate drive (formatted FAT32) for data. This allows easy access from both Windows and Linux.

Here is one interesting example of MANY distros installed: http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showt...hreadid=143973

Hi

HDD size is 40g
Data is not much. so a small size should suffice
