Gnome and KDE
Should there be a message base for Gnome and one for KDE for specific Gnome and KDE questions?

IMO, as for should there be one, no I don't think so, just like I don't think you need a seperate forum for each distro. The Linux - General section would work fine for window managers I think, at least for now. Maybe not a seperate forum for each, but possibly one all inclusive forum for X in general might work, still I don't know if it's something needed really.

I would have to agree. Window Managers questions do belong more in the Software forum before being asked here. This forum is becoming a clutter mess of alot of questions that do actually have a place in the other forums.
