Question Glade and GtkAda

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to start messing around with Glade, because, quite frankly, I'm far too lazy to do my GUI design and building by hand. I was pleased to find that the full install of Slackware 8 had Glade 0.6.2 (I think that's the right number) included in it. Now, as you may have guessed, my language of choice is Ada95. I downloaded and installed the Ada95 bindings for Gtk, fired up glade, and found that it wasn't picking them up.

My question is, has anyone else had any problems with this? (For that matter, has anyone else ever tried?) The GtkAda docs say it'll work with Glade up to 0.5.9, but apparently not higher. Does anyone know if there's some fix for this?

Second, in the (likely) case that there aren't too many other Ada programmers here, can anyone tell me about earlier versions of Glade? Is there any compelling reason not to downgrade to a version that supports my favorite language, or are they all terribly, horribly flawed and I should stick with 0.6.2? Also, would there be any prolbem installing two versions of Glade? I already have to have 2 versions of GCC for the GNAT Ada compiler anyway (it only supports up to 2.8.1), so I figure, why not?

Thanks!

Glade 1+2 and Ada

I've a SuSE distribution v8.2
Glade and GTK/GTK+ and Glade2 and GTK2 are included in the distribution.
I started with the installation of Glade and started it. It worked all right until I choose
to compile/link the source. I got the message (I translate) unable to generate Ada source
code, gate not found, check your PATH variable.
When I select option C language or C++ language it's OK.
Glade v0.6.4-398

I've tried to install glade2 (Glade2 v1.1.2-183).
It is only able to manage C and C++ languages. Ada and Eiffel have disappeared.

I'm looking for information to install this product correctly to support Ada language
efficently. I've not found by now. I looked at gnat.com and act-europe.fr.

I thought I'd found a good product for developpement but . . . .
I've tried out kylix before and this one needs wine emulation (slow) and
connection to some databases is a real problem. It's impossible to obtain any support.
