Gkrellm proc questions


I just installed gkrellm and everything is workig fine. My questions is why above proc does it say that there are two users when I am the only one logged in?

run 'who'

each open terminal is another 'user'

Because the startup apps are run as root, and some keep running while you log in and out. See the output of top for more info

ok, thanks for the quick responses. It makes a lot of sense. Like root is running xinetd and i'm shown as running top. Lots of things running though, about 70.

Yeah, iirc GKrellm can only report on processes which your user account can read the info of, in directories it can read and execute commands in.
