give me the errors


Hi i know that when i eant to keep the output from my console i use the > character///
The problem is that i also need the errors from any command... Do u know how i can save them in a file??

some_command 2> file_name

that will put the errors in "file_name"

you can also do :
some_command > output_of_command 2> errors_from_command

you can merge both streams to the same file
1>file 2>&1
or
2>file 1>&2
