give limited space on hdd per user
 
i have over 200 users on my depatrments redhat server...
some people use over 500mb of the hdd...so how can i fix the maximum amount of hdd individual users can use?

use "quotas" (now where did I read about that recently??)

im trying to run the quota commands on mdk9.2 but none of them work
i logged in a root and searched the hdd for 'quota'
there were no files like that and apropos quota shows nothing

will i have to compile the kernel with quota settings?
