getting X started

I just installed Mandrake 9.1. I had to do it text based since it couldnt recognize my video card (GeForce FX 5200). This was fine, but I couldn't set up X during the installation. Now, I have gotten the driver the installed for the card, but Since X was not configured initially, I don't know what to do now. There is no XF86Config file or even the X executable. What should I do? Thank you.

if there no xf86config, the ur realy, well i cant say it cuse id probly get in trouble ,

but if that and startx are not there then u will have to get the sources and recompile it (unless u wnat to get a binary like they recomend, but then u cant customize it

go to xfree86.org to get the sources (or binary if your lazy and dont wann customize anyhitng ), search the site for the compile guide and have fun with the configureation (its the harest to comfigure as it has no config script and a lot of stuff to select from about what not to compile, and what to compile
