Getting More Displayed Info

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to change the amount of information that I can view is. I am running Debian Sarge and when I cd /etc and then do and ls I cannot view every thing that is in the /etc directory. It cuts off much of the directory's in there. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thank You

Brian

Not quite sure what you mean. If the information is too wide it will just wrap around to the next line. If its too long you should be able to scroll back through it (assuming you have a window with scroll bars).

If you don't want to have to scroll back just type:
ls -l |more

The more command will show you only 1 page at a time. You can hit down arrow to move 1 line at a time or enter to move to the next page.
