Getting Firefox to initiate kppp connection.

Currently when I click the kppp icon it opens a connection and then opens Firefox browser. I would like it to work in reverse, clicking Firefox browser button initiates
a connection window. so the wife and kids can just click the connect tab. Also can the settings be set to dial a connection automaticaly?
Basically I have connection initiates browser, I need browser initiates connection.
running Simply Mephis 3.3 and Firefox 1.04
Thanks in advance, wuberman.

You can't do that, but you can do better :)
pppd (or diald I don't remember) has the ability to initiate the connexion whenever it is needed, for whatever reason (mail, web...).
So you launch firefox, you type an URL, (you wait a little bit...) and it just works!

Configuration is not as easy as configuring kppp though. I only know it can be done, and often is.

Yves.
