Getting a certain distro to boot from a U3 flash drive

(Completely new and don't know where this goes, SORRY!!!!!)

Theres a distro I wanna try out but I actually have no Cds to burn the ISO to. I figured I'd try to boot it from from my new flash drive, but its U3 so its sorta different. Would I be able to boot the distro from the flash drive? I know my motherboard will let me boot from usb.

U3 has nothing to do with linux it is an added thing for windows only. your usb drive should still comply to the "USB mass storage" standard (legally it has to if it had the USB logo on it or the packaging.) so it should work like any other usb pen drive. if your bios lets you boot from usb this will be no problem.
