I see how ubuntu updates, you download the .deb or security patches and it installs them, but how does gentoo update/upgrade its security issues. I have a working gentoo install and love it by the way, but it seems to me that ubuntu gets more updates or perhaps im just missing something.
If you are just interested by Gentoo security updates, you just have to run "glsa-check" command (from gentoolkit package). For more info about this command and its features, see the man pages and/or this link: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/securit...part=1&chap=14
