Gentoo portage update question.

So I finally got around to updating my gentoo portage, all went smoothly, with one exception. I now get this error at boot

swapon: cannot stat /dev/SWAP: No such file or directory

However, swap worked before. cfdisk lists my swap partion:

Primary Linux swap / Solaris

Any help is appreciated.

I think that could be because the entry in your fstab is literally "/dev/SWAP", when it should be something like "/dev/hda2". Have a look at your fstab and see what's there.

Or alternatively, you may have had Udev set up to create "/dev/SWAP" as a symlink to the actual device.

If this is the case, and the update erased your udev modifications, you'll need to restore your old Udev settings
