Question fsck.ext3 unable to resolve 'LABEL=/home

I made a mistake partitioning my drive.
Now i can't get the machine to boot.
It drops me to a shell and permits root to do maintanance.
What do i type to get my system booted again.

My way of solving this problem otherwise will be complete reinstallation

boot with a linux rescue disk like your first distribution cdrom or knoppix. fsck the partition you are having trouble with. if you don't know which it is, you can run fdisk -l to list them. then try mounting the partition. maybe you just messed up the label of the partition, and you can edit your /etc/fstab to point to the partition as /dev/hda1 or whatever it is. good luck.

Dude,
Thank you for your suggestion.

Before i saw you post i implemented my own NOOBER solution! Do you wanna hear how I fixed it?

You'll laugh!

I started off a complete new installation of fedora and had disk druid not remove data during formatting except on my /home.

Then, watching the progress dialogue like a hawk, i swooped in the moment it had finished the formatting and just as it was copying the boot image to the hard disk.

THen i *PULLED OUT THE POWER PLUG*
And rebooted.
and it worked!

hahaha!

Well, it got me a gui.
I can log in as root, delete my old user account (myhome directory no longer exists.) Create a new user account and i should be ok!

BUt if not, i will let u know for sure!
