format the output of the ps command


i am running ps xo "pid,command" but I can't find my process in the results. I know that the process is running because I run ps ax | grep command-name

Anybody have any ideas?

maybe ps eo pid,comm

works for me. also, is it a root process? maybe try as root

try ps -eo pid,cmd
